06. Hairy Mary
This hoodie dress is inspired by the Hairy Mary representations of Mary Magdalene of the Renaissance who became an illuminated hermit and roamed the desert covered by her own hair.
This piece looks into our relation to body hair and how do we embrace, enhance, control and suppress hair as part of our self-expression.
Usually used in relation to hair-shaming, Hairy Mary stands in this collection as a celebration of body hair and as an experiment on
human-fur textures.
